Bottle from the real ale store Newark. Deep Ruby colour with a tan head. Fruity cherry aroma taste is berry sharpe but also light sweet.

Cerveza belga estilo Ale. Rojiza u olor afrutado. Espuma ligera y cierto toque en sabor a achampanado por si acidez final. Rica en sabor y no muy alta graduación. 6.2° . Recomendable.

Pours a brown-burgundy, can just see through it, tinges of red, nice beige head which settles and laces beautifully. The aroma is vinegary straight away, sour and funky, slightly off, but it settles into a lovely balsamic aroma, sour cherries. The taste is superb. It follows the aroma but adds much more. The oak barrels come through nicely, red grape, light tannins, spice. It’s marvellously refreshing, sharp small carbonation bubbles, equal parts sweet and acidic, lingering sour cherry. Goes really well with this pasta dinner, and could be sipped, could be a quencher on a warmer day. Superb.

Excellent beer... You love it or you hate it... I think that's a lambic made with spontaneous fermentation... Is like drinking the Finest balsamic vinegar from Modena, italy... This beer is a must to have at home... I would love to try it with a good dish of fresh salad...

Drank with Dave after the De Staat concert 22-01. Very interesting beer. A bit sour, very rich taste explosion, oak-sweetness. Very nice.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market, Haverhill, MA. Aroma is sour overly ripe fruit, vinegar, red wine. Appearance is dark, clear, mahogany with nice sparkle, negligible off-white ring of head with trace lacing. Taste is mix of sour and sweet cherry, mild oak. Palate is medium bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation. Finish is dry with lingering sour fruit. Overall, sour is not my thing so part of me was reviled while drinking this. However, just when I thought it would send me over the edge a bit of sweet balance brought me back. Won’t be having it again but for those who like dipping their toe into cherry sourland, this might not be a bad way to go.

Kort eftersmak.

Dark cherry red, clear, almost without head. Very nice lookout. Nose can feel redcurrant juice, blackcurrant, some basement aromas, sweat, some salts and vinegar. Possibility to drown into this aroma. Taste is in the beginning quite sour, but then comes some spices up. Pepper, nutmeg, redcurrant, oak, cherry, malts, red-wine, different spices etc. Palate is very rich. Quite different and super good sour beer!

Maybe I need to grow up, but I just don’t like this style. I smell this and it’s hard to get past the vinegar permeating everywhere. Upon the taste, I get a little orange peel. Actually I think it kind of smells like a Campari and OJ. I just can’t picture any scenario where I would sit around sipping this. I’m very confused and I’m going to walk away right now.
