A beer that is balenced between the agreesive spicy, vinegar, and sour qualities of this ’style’ and leans towards fruit, some sweetness and a mildly sour finish. Like others, I prefer the agressiveness of the Rodenbach, but this will do.

Sampled from a bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Sour, fruity aroma. Classic sour/sweet taste. Some sweetness, then balsamic vinegar and sour fruit taste, with hints of raspberry. Well-balanced taste with good mouthfeel. Refreshing, but rather sour for my taste.

Slight/medium aroma of malts, red fruit, wood and brettanomyces.

Clear ruby/brown beer with a medium beige head.

Medium sweet and slightly sour with malts, red fruit, wood and brettanomyces.

Wow, wow, wow. Heavenly sour-sweet, an elevation of malt and tart, with just a hint of vinegar keeping it from the five-point range. Flanders=if it isn’t perfection, you can at least see it from there.

bottle: pours medium brown with orange tint....tan head that dissipates...barnyard aroma that increases with warmth....wine vinegar..may be some cherry but really that is more apparent in the taste....tartness balanced by some sweetness....light body with medium carbonation......kind a like it .....

Aroma is cherry, fruity but solid oak backbone. Looks brown red in the glass. Little head. Taste is like aroma. Palate is a bit light and watery. Carbonation is not very smooth. I like this as a sour beer before the sour thing started: it’s tart but the focus is on a balanced beer not an oh my god gimmky sour its so tart crap fest.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2016 Butelka. Klasyczny przyk?ad "smaku nabytego". Aromat octowy z dalek? nut? sherry. W smaku ocet s?odowy i ogólnie sos Worcestershire, czerwona pomara?cza, kwas z kiszonego ogórka. Bardzo dobre ale nie dla ka?dego.

Pours a dark Reddy brown with a tan head which stick around.. Looks amazing. Smells of natural yeast and farmyard. Tastes heavily sour with a sweet acidic undertone which lasts. I’m not sure why but the overall taste doesn’t quite work for me.
