Bottle 25cl. Red, almost brown with almost no top. Sour, fruity aroma. Taste has lots of fruits. Sweetness and sourness take turns. Good one!

I don’t get a chance to try a lot of sour beers. I tend to like them but this is off the charts great! Stop reading and drink this beer!

Butelka; barwa wiśniowa. Piana drobna ale szybko opada do cienkiej warstwy. Aromat kwaśny, octowy, owocowy, wiśniowy, nalewki wiśniowej, winny, dziki, porzeczkowy, kompotu. W smaku kwaśne, wiśniowe, winne. Dochodzą również do głosu nuty słodowe. Bardzo dobre i ciekawe piwo.

Many times I’ve tried, but alas never rated - bottle pour with a reddish-brown hue and minimal off-white head...more of a thin film. Aroma is basically funky/sour with a strong vinegar character...some cherry notes in the background. Good, but far from great. Flavor mimics the nose well - funk, sour cherry, some caramel malt sweetness, bit of booze, and a strong vinegar note. Body is smooth and easy drinking. Good sour brown, but for some reason this one just doesn’t quite go all the way for me. That being said, I’ll be happy to enjoy another whenever!

Zapach z butelki: Słodowo-owocowy. Wiśnie, winogrona, stajnia i nuty octowe. Piana: Orzechowa, głośno syczy i opada formując średniopęcherzykowy pierścień. Trochę oblepia szkło. Kolor: Orzechowy, rubinowo-koniakowy. Zapach: Likierowo-winny. Nuty stajenne wymieszane z pralinkami. Wiśnie, czerwone owoce. Nuty czekolady mlecznej. Smak: Zdecydowanie kwaśne, do tego duża karmelowość, w tle czekolada. Dużo cytrusów, nut szampańskich. Dochodzą do głosu także nuty orzecha włoskiego. Tekstura: Kleiste i winne. Pozostawia ściągający osad. Nasycenie Wysokie. Goryczka: Niska. Łącznie daje to naprawdę przyjemny efekt, pijąc Duchesse De Bourgogne miałem poczucie obcowania z naprawdę wyjątkowym i nieprzeciętnym napitkiem. Naprawdę wyborne - gorąco polecam każdemu, kto nie próbował jeszcze kwaśnych piw, zacząć właśnie od tego. Nabyłem w jednym z marketów Carrefour za ok. 9 zł.

Bottle. Pours clear dark ruby red-amber with a thick and creamy tan head. it has a pleasant aroma that is dark and fruity, with caramel, and balsamic vinegar. The flavour is sweet, quickly followed by sourness, bitterness, back to sweet, lasting sourness... really a fantastic experience. When a beer is very, very good, a light comes on inside. This is one of those beers.

Really nice sour red ale. Aroma of vinegar, sour cherries, cranberries - similar to red wine. Really nice head, great, sour taste. One of the best in this style.

The classic Flanders red that unlike Rodenbach which goes towards extremely sour is sweeter and more balanced. Pours red-brown with small head. Aromas of vinegar, cherries, a bit of barnyard. Taste is an explosion of sweet candy sugar and sour vinegar, lots of oak, spicy, fruity, apples, cranberries, sour cherries. Highly complex, you discover something new with every sip. The high sugar content kicks this beer into overdrive and makes this such a fascinating drink but also makes it more of a desert beer for me.

Best beer of PIB ’14, an incredible smooth creamy malt body perfectly balances sour cherry flavor with a hint of alcohol flavor.

Draft - looks like brown sugar with a hint of this dark red wine color. Tart, hints of oak, red grapes, and cherry. With all the oak aging it tastes more like a wine then a beer.
