Aroma of Balsamic vinegar. Pours a deep red/brown with a fizzy head. Wooooow.I did, but I didnt expect that. First drink, bad, second drink, dynamite. Heavy flavor of apple cider vinegar, Im liking it. Somewhat dry and tart finish.

Pours a dingy Garnet Tons and tons of head billows out fo the glass. not a gusher, but really foamy. Aroma is strong on earthy tones , sour, and vinegar notes. Flavor is woody, tart cherry, and mild wine acid and vinegar. nice funk to it, but not too funky. all flavors play well.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark reddish-brown. Aroma of wood, balsamic vinegar, and fruit. Flavor starts very sweet... caramel like. Very creamy and smooth. But too sweet to put it up at the top with my favorites.

750 ml. bottle. Shared with Gabe. Pours a huge gradually deflating off white head, of long duration after the deflation, attractive lacing, over a clear reddish brown (SRM 25) body....nose is cider and vinegar, with some sweet malts......taste initially sweet (cider like), then balsamic vinger tones, with a bit of malt, finishes sweet, with a tiny bit of tannin.....mouth feel is light, carbonation low. This is a light refreshing beer, that has many similarities to Rose wines. I think it is a little bit simple to be highly rated.

Pours a dark brown with a fizzy head that disapears very quickly, the head almost looks like a soda pop being poured. Smells of grapes, apricot, raisins, prunes and sherry. Has a tartness, and a sweetness, tastes of deep fried potato, apple and red grapes. Very fruity and complex. Nice lacing.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Elfde Gebod) The beer poured dark ruby red and almost clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had berries, sourness and malts. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, berries, sourness, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sour and malty. A bit too sweet for a sour ale. Aging would quite likely cut the sweetness.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2011 11 April 2011, bottle. rich amber colour, clear w/ no bubbles. nose switches b/w balsamic vinegar and really tart cherries. med body, mostly flat and very "sherry-esque." taste is like nose; competition b/w balsamic vinegar and tart cherries. i like this. vinegar is almost dominant but it is sweet enough to balance it. (original ratine - 8/10 3/5 7/10 3/5 16/20 = 3.7) 6 april 2011, bottle. red/mahogany colour, clear w/ steady bubbles. definitely a sour beer. sour with some sweet cherry and mild oak aromas. delish! med/ thin body and fairly fizzy. very interesting. has a sweet balsamic vinaigrette taste. there is a dry oak finish but the vinaigrette is the primary and dominant flavour, though without the biting acidness. really nice. not had too many sour beers like this. it is a bit sweet, not to tart, and more dominantly vinegary.
