UPDATED: AUG 7, 2014 Dark ale. Vinous: sour and sweet. For me it’s a bit too sweet, but this is a nice one to start discovering sour ales.

Inget jag dricker mycket av då jag har lite svårt för körsbärssmaken. Väldigt syrlig. Sötman tar dock ut lite av ekfatskaraktären, hade varit trevligare om den fick vara lite mer framträdande.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Tiny off-white head which vanishes almost immediately. Dark red body. Aroma of vinegar and apple cider. Quite sour, and also sweet at the same time. Dry down the throat, which suits the style well.

A solid cheaper version of a sour brew. Tonight I tried 3 of them (including the $35 The Bruery). Now I’m done with these sour brews.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2014 Served in my favorite goblet... good lord the smell of balsamic vinegar hits you hard. It pours a deep burnt brown with a medium sized, light tan head. Quite a "sour smell", somewhat reminds me of :La Folie, the first of this style I tried and so my basis of comparison. Mild for the first second, then carbonated and rough like cola. Rolls over the tongue a little thin, then coast the throat with a sweet plum, grape and apple syrup, before a neat transition to a sour finish.

Brown/redish colour. Thin white head. Fruity sour nose. Acidic, cherry flavour, with hints of grapes and green apples. Sourish , nutty finish.
