Beautiful dark brown with a darker, off white head. Poured from small bottle to a goblet. Explosive vegetal, herbal nose. Deep, cascading flavors which defy logic. Amazing length. I could drink this every day.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2013 ... my most changed beer ever ! - 1,5 years ago , i realy got into beer . these sour things wern’t my style . i gave it a 2,something , and stated this was a good one, if you’re into this style . - a year ago i slowly started getting more and more into sours ( lambics, geuze’s, fob, ... ) and this beer went up till 3, than till 4 , than till 4,4 - now its time to rerate AGAIN . its my to-go-for beer wherever they have this and nothing that realy gets me going . its cheap, available , and so freakingly good ! drank from bottle ( several places ) and draft ( at de kelk ) and in a 6 year old vintage ( wich i would seperatly rate 5 / 5 , its THAT good ! ) looks brown/red, good white head . smell is very typical to the style, but sweeter taste is very sweet, fruity ( dark fruits ) , sour touch, very complex, so deliciously drinkable .

This.is.divine. My first exposure to the Flemish reds. This and Victenaar (missing an h?) will always be in my top ten. Divine queens of the brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tart, fruit forward with a beautiful red color and touch of sweetness. All the flavors are well blended all all the edges well rounded.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2013 Pours a dark reddish brown. Quite a sweet, malty aroma, with a hint of sourness, as well as green apple and oak. Tastes sweet and sour, quite fruity, has strong hints of green apple, with a bit of balsamic. A very complex character, there are a heap of different things going on regarding taste, and it’s hard to pin them all down. This is an amazing beer, every time I drink one it is almost a spiritual experience, trying to pin down all the different aspects of the beer, as compared the 2 dimensional malt-hop profile of most other beers, this is about 6 different dimensions, with all the different microbes making their own aroma and taste, as well as the malt and hops.

Bottle @ some beer place in Bruges. Dark red-brown colour. Very complicated arome, taste is divine. Don’t expect the taste of beer, though. Sweet and sour at the same time in very balanced way. First impression is wine, but maybe some drink with campari would be more close.

I don’t get a chance to try a lot of sour beers. I tend to like them but this is off the charts great! Stop reading and drink this beer!

Pours a dark ruby-brown from a bottle, lots of immediate Belgian effervescence that quickly fades. Aroma is a pleasant sweet-sour, almost like a Balsamic vinegar. Flavor is a a super version of the same, again Balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, red wine and a hint of leather and licorice perhaps, perfectly balanced. Slight burn on the finish, but not overly powerful alcohol flavor. Excellent beer.
