2009.01.11 - From Bottle. I’m a fan of sour ales and found this one to be a welcome departure from the norm. The smell is tart fruits with malts, a very pleasant aroma. Color is reddish-brown (more brown) with little foaming and good lacing. I expected a bit more tartness when I tasted it, but it ends with a sweetness that was quite unexpected. The more I got into it, the more I enjoyed it. Though a bit more sourness would have been a welcome addition. In all, a very strong beer, and I’m glad I picked it up.

Fruitiness gives way to a palate cleansing bright sourness. Excellent sour

Brown color, medium head. Aroma of fruits, malts, yeast, grass and some plum. Flavor of plum, fruits, caramel malts and yeast.

Poured from the bottle with a very small head. My first reaction is that the aroma is very yeasty, with hints of raspberries. You can tell just by the smell of it that you are in for a nice sour experience. Has a creamy texture, but overall one of the best sours I have tasted.

La mia terza birra preferita! Davvero ottima, quasi un vino, non a caso e’ fermentata in botti di rovere, leggermente acidula e’ pur sempre una birra! Sicuramente una birra come non ce ne sono altre!

At first sight this does not look like beer but is very good, not very "beery", quite different on initial taste but it grows on you.

Beautiful dark brown with a darker, off white head. Poured from small bottle to a goblet. Explosive vegetal, herbal nose. Deep, cascading flavors which defy logic. Amazing length. I could drink this every day.

Very nice beer that has a nice sour taste that gives it freshness. It is a more complex and balanced taste than a couple of other beers in this category. Dark red colors looks good but almost no head. fruity and sparkling
