Tasted this in the Delirium Cafe, Brussels in April 2012. 33 cl bottle in a superb tulip shaped glass. Pours a clear dark ruby red with a off white head. Strange sickly sweet aroma with notes of baby vomit and black cherry yoghurt. Smooth milky mouthfeel and superb lacing. Dark malts give a strange range of flavours with sour milk combined with black cherries and mashed bananas. There is a slight suggestion of hops in there but this is difficult to detect. Finish is sweet and malty with just a hint of fruity sourness before the sweet notes smooth everything over in a malt blanket. An interesting type of ale (Flemish Red) and worth trying out. Well recommended.

Bottle at Meisterstück. Smells like cleaning alcohol. Yup, not kidding, I could probably clean my whiteboard with this. But you know, the smell is actually not bad... Some bitter almond in it, too. Very rich and impressive sour berry taste though. I would never have expected this after that smell. Unbelievable! Definitely goes on my list of the quirkiest beers I’ve ever had.

Bottle. Dark brown with small brown head. Sharp sour aroma of wine vinegar with a sweet touch. Sour taste of wine vinegar, fruits like sourcherry and malty sweet notes. Spicy aftertaste with the sournes hanging im the mouth.

Clear brown color, big off-white head. Aroma of wine, barrel and biscuit, extremely sour, soft carbonation, medium body, very dry finish. //Vrutak

25cl bottle. Clear, dark amber-brown pour with thin, light brown head. Aromas of ripe fruit, dry wood and cherries. Taste is dry, complex, fruity sweet but bubbly. Lively carbonation, fresh palate. Aftertaste is really short but fresh and sweet at the same time. Really good and balanced, nice beer.

Dark brown pour with a fizzy tan head that didn’t last long. Aroma is slightly fruity. Flavour is very sweet, sugary with raspberry and candied sugar notes. Wasn’t expecting the big blast of sweet, but it quickly fades into a tart bitter flavour on the end of the tongue. Really nice!

A sour reddish beer with a impressive red / brown look and still clear taste even of fruit. Wine is very present in the palate and saving it from only being sour. Very different but still enjoyable.

Dejlig kompleks frugtig duft. Fint beige skum. Sødlig/syrlig smag, igen lidt frugtagtig - den kunne jeg godt blive lidt forfalden til. Syrlig/sødlig eftersmag

Een zeer bittere smaak, komt waarschijnlijk door de looistoffen van de eiken vaten.

Pours brownish red with a thin beige head with strong lacing. Aroma: sour, cherries vinegar. Taste is sweet and sour, almost wine-like, light carbonation. Definitely a very well crafted beer and a personal favourite.

Flaska från Belgoklubben. Mörkt brunröd med gulbrunt skum. Syrlig doft med vinbär och äppelkart. Sträv munkänsla. Sötsyrlig och frisk. Röda bär och syrligt äpple.
