Odd looking stuff. Pours the expected deep reddish-brown. Head is initially bright pink and fuzzy but absolutely vanishes after a few seconds, just a few wisps of bubbles. Nose sour cherries and vinegar. Flavor isnít much sour, a bit there, primarily mild sour cherry, bit of sugar, but primary flavor is a bit of odd, toasty and bready malts at the end.

Delicious sour cherry aroma. Cherry pie and vinnegar. Reddish brown with a light head. You steel yourself for the sour cherry onslaught and still your defenses are breached as the sour cherry coats your mouth and sinks in between your teeth. Not as complex as some others but simple, tart and delicious.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2010 Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, pinkish off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium pinkish amber. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel), with light notes of cherry, wood, hint of celery. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Very sweet and kinda cherry syrup-like. Not a whole lot going on in the nose. Kinda dull and soda poppish.

Wonderful cherry aroma. The cherries carries through quite well and are not overpowering like a lot of fruit beers. A great summertime brew.

From the Sharp Edge Beerfest a lot different from the previous... that was a beer with fruit, the was more like a fruit beer.... still an excellent kriek. Tart and dry

A delightful kriek. Heavy cherry with a mild aftertaste that can only be described as "a bit unusual". More like a sweet wine than a beer.

Sampled at the Southside Beer Expo. Cherry red body, with a thick parfait head. A refreshing cherry taste that isnít cloying in sweetness.

Small pink head atop a clear, deep red body. Aroma is mild sweet, sour cherry, oak. Taste is mild sweet, some sour, cherry, and some offish flavor -- sort of an astringent bubblegum. Light-medium, tart body.

Draft at the Hopleaf (Chicago). Clear bright red color with a smaller pink head. Oak and cherry aromas. Light cherry start. Sweeter middle and a dry finish with a sweet linger. Almost lingers to thick.
