On tap at Ørsted Ølbar, july 26th 2014. Ruby body with a thin pink head. Looking cool! Fruity aroma with tart cherries, lime sweet syrup and caramel malt. Taste is strong cherries and wood, with a heavy thick sweetness cutting through, thick bodied, sugar sweet finish, like red berry jam. It’s ok but way too sweet in my opinion.

ik vond dit kriekenbier net iets te zuur voor mij, voor mij mag het iets zoeter zijn.

Tap. Pours clear ruby red, dense one finger bit colored. Aroma is slightly sour, wood, sweet cherries. Taste is first medium sweet, cherries, wood, Finish comes sour tart and lasting. Annoying bi-taste of something?

Bottle. (thanks SirLimpsalot) Clear ruby red with a pink head. Cherries, light funk and wood. Not that sour. Easy to drink and nicely refreshing in the hot summer evening.

@Basunen: lite diskret doft. Trevlig fruktig smak, tydlig körsbär, lätt syrlig. Perfekt i värmen. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

250ml bottle poured into a tulip glass. Clear deep red with a decent pink head. Perfumy nose, with sour cherries, marshmello, some wood and faint funk. Tart fruitiness, no bitterness, wheat tang, cherries. Dry, refreshing, alcohol well hidden, cool.

330 ml bottle from STLWill - thanks again, Will! 2004 vintage. Pours a clear reddish tea color with a small off-white head. Notes of cherry, leather, musty basement, cobwebs, oak, and fruit jam. Light-medium bodied, with low carbonation and a leathery, jammy mouthfeel. Not bad, given the age.

Can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet...bottle gushed violently upon opening which surprised me greatly. Beer poured into a duchesse glass, color is ruby red with a coarse white head that fizzled away. Aroma brings sour funk, cherry, latex, lots of phenols, barnyard...complexity is high but the aroma is kinda faint. Taste is sour, sour, sour and then an underlying sweetness to back it up. Bitterness is evident and the finish is tart. Palate...thin bodied, co2 very high, not balanced but doesn’t need to be. The finish is great. Overall, aside from the explosion mishap the beer is quite good. Seems to be more lambic like than usual though and the violent gushing might indicate something is up. Who cares though, beer is great!
