Vinous aroma. Sweet, rounded and medium bodied. Lightly hazy golden with minimal head. Fruity with concentrated red berry flavour. Low bitterness.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2006 Bottle, 25 cl. . Golden colour with small head that does not last much. Smells very sweet, I would say artificial, and maybe some fruit, a littel winey but after a little while is only a metallic or oxid aroma. Taste is again artificially sweet and very metallic. Metallic is the main aroma and taste. Dissapointing, plus I can’t find any of the christmas beers features.

Boutip (4868) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 1, 2006
Bottle: Poured a bright golden color ale with a small pure white foamy head with good retention. Aroma is incredibly sweet – like if they had drop an extra bag of candi sugar – and doesn’t provide me with any enjoyment. Taste is also totally sweet and gross – a bit like a cough syrup with extra glucose. Body is very average and alcohol is well hidden. Probably one of the worse Christmas Belgian that I’ve tried.

oh6gdx (20947) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 22, 2006
Bottled 1996. Honeyish golden colour, longlasting big foamy white head. Aroma is honey, fruit, yeast and malts. Very pleasant and smoothly mixed aroma. Very bitterish to the flavour, along with grassy and slightly acidic hints. Alcohol gives a warming kick in the finish and aftertaste. The flavour wasn’t as good as the promising aroma.

harrisoni (14138) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2006
Bottle. Gold, thin white head. Hop, citrus and bubblegum aroma. Quite light in mouth, with bit of alcohol burn, syrupy fruit and hop on the end. Bit over carbonated. Plain but ok and oh not very Christmassy

Bottled (BB 04/2007)
Clear golden color, white creamy head. Dry cardboard and peach in the aroma. Starts watery, carbonated, then butterscotch- even diacetyl kind of sweetness. Some alcohol in the finish, faint grassy hops. Dissapointing Christmas beer.

thebeertourist (4904) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 3, 2006
A clear, golden ale with a good, lacing head. A fruity and yeasty aroma with hints of apples. Sweet and fruity flavours, some spiciness. Good carbonbation. An average, good Belgian blond.

sayravai (4673) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 24, 2005
(Bottled) Very clear, golden color with a smallish but tight head. Very mild, dryish apple-cidery aroma with some Duvel character, and yeast. Quite hoppy and bitter, somewhat acidic and slightly sour flavor with smooth maltiness in the background. Bitter, but still quite smooth and malty mouthfeel with soft carbonation. A quite nice, dry and somewhat Duvelish brew, although I can’t see the Christmas connection here...

Nekronos (3646) - Xalapa, MEXICO - DEC 23, 2005
UPDATED: APR 30, 2006 Was a little different in name. So, maybe can be difficult to find here. It was a little soft, but very good in flavour. Dark too.

Dorqui (2113) - Brescia, ITALY - DEC 9, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2007 Bottled 0,25L. Compact and adherent foam, good persistence. Yellow/orange much fraught color; lightly fizzy. Enough stable. Rich and complex scent; notes of sweet malty and cellar, light talk of must and clear withered grape. Pungent taste, much alcoholic and mellow. It seems aged and enhanced of aromas. Long and sweetish final. Overbearing and long-lasting alcohol.
