33cl bottle: BBD 30 Jan 16, poured into a Westmalle chalice at home on 26 Dec 14. Nice clear and bright body, golden and clean, on top a white blanket that soon became a sheet and then a wisp and collar within a minute of pouring. Sweet, light malty nose, mild spice hints maybe. The taste more fruity than the aroma suggests, again on the malty sweet side and with traces of spices. Not as deep flavoured as I had hoped, not a lot of Christmas type notes to get me excited, OK, but just not Christmassy.

23.12.2014, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Small mediumlasting head, very light color. Aroma is slightly grainy, cereal, light malts, weeds, hay, dried grain, hints of nuts. Taste is harsh, cereal, yeast, hay, weeds, harsh grass, light malts, minerals, nuts. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh mouthfeel, high carbonation. Boring, and nothing Christmasy at all...

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear gold, thin white head, gentle carbonation. Aromas of light lemon, struck match, light bready malt. Taste brings a light spice note, lager-y. Crisp finish. OK.

Aurelius (4655) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - NOV 25, 2014
Clear, slightly tinged gold. 11.2 oz longneck, lazy label that looks like a cheap gift wrap. Sweet, honeyish Belgian pale malt aroma. Nicely hopped, a little lagery, a bit tinny, a bit of a spiciness that reminded me of ginger. Medium body, a sandy carbonation, yeasty aftertaste. ABC Liquors, Betton.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Stovner. Cake a golden color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity, good distinct yeast influence combined with floral, aromas are the most distinct. also fruitiness and light citrus. Medium body & complexity. Some bitterness, well balanced. Enjoyable

Bottle at home from Willems. Clear gold pour with creamy white head. Aroma is fruity and boozy, candied fruits, pineapple, banana, peach, boozy. Taste is sweet, grainy, fruity and boozy, a bit cloying actually. Nothing light about this beer but the color, pretty cloying sweet mess. Heavy palate, medium carbonation.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig fruchtig, blumig, würzig. Geschmack stark malzig, fruchtig, Gewürze, blumig.

erickok (4302) - Tours (and Paris), FRANCE - MAR 8, 2014
Boring looking golden body and medium white bubbly head. Very sweet malts, grainy, cheap appeal. it of hay perhaps. White sugar, simple malt. Only the end has some spice and saltyness to it. Really a standard Belgian blond. No character, nothing Christmas about this. Everything that is wrong about Belgian beer (while there is so much good about it). (25cl bottle from Cave Gambrinus SPdC)
