3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared. Pours a medium brown color with off white head. The aroma is slot of things from sour funk to dark red cherries to Apple cider vinegar. The flavor is slit of dark cherry tartness with the underscoring of funk. Nicely blended. I get mild notes of the oak on the end. Overall a nice Flemish sour.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours pretty amber brown with really lively head. Considerably sweeter and less sour than I was expecting, but both were a pleasant surprise.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Flaska från Bier Tempel Bryssel. Mörkt rubinröd vätska. Doftar syrliga bär och ekfat. I smaken återkommer ekfaten och färska bär. Där finns även en tråkig sötma.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from a bottle a hazy reed tinged brown. The aroma would attract any fruit fly from 1007 miles around; sour, fruity. I love the sour, but was hoping for more beer flavors. Didn't really suit my palate, but was enjoyable enough.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Very weird beer, nice color , extreme carbonation, very sour while not matching the expected flavour. One of beer will not buy again

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a dark bronze-hued coppery clear body with a medium off-white head. Nose is roasted bread, balsamic, grains, caramel, burnt sugar and hints of wood, dried fruits and apple vinegar. Taste is sweet cola nut, caramel, brown sugar, wood and hints of balsamic, raisins and nail polish remover. Medium body, medium to high carbonation. Aroma is far better than taste; this one is way too sweet for a sour ale in general and the complexity doesn’t shine through as much as in many others in the same style. Fair enough, but not too impressive.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A reddish brown coloured beer with weak off white head. A strong, red wine vinegar aroma, sour red fruit, spice and a hint of dark malt. Dry and fizzy mouthfeel. A mouth puckering, vinegary taste, balsamic and red wine, grapey and cherry, although very tart, it does usher in a smoother, spicy malt flavour. The finish is long, sour and fruity.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Of the ’old bruin’ style. Slightly less sweet than Duchess and benefiting from it. Beautiful match of acidity, malt and wood. Carbonation for this is simply joyous, enabling a full palate and stretching out the thirst quenching, almost puckering tart character. This is probably one of the best beers in the world, certainly one of my top few, such a shame it’s not more easily available outside Belgium. Outstanding.
