Pours with a crisp, noisy head - very sparkly and quickly diminished. Slightly cloudy, golden color. Extremely aromatic, earthy, mossy, vinous malty. Distinct alcohol burn... fruity, raisin and caramel undertones, with yeasty earthiness prevailing. Nice bittersweet finish, some anise. Classy saison-like character. Lots of sediment. Fans of saison, biere de garde and funkier tripels should find this worth seeking out.

One of the few beers I’ve thrown down the sink. There are "off" flavors in this beer. Are they spices gone awry or infections? I don’t know. This is not a "clean" beer. If you like "funk", you might like this beer.
