COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A big bitter 77 IBU India Pale Ale, spiced with a blend of fragrant Magnum, Simcoe, and Cascade hops. An American IPA receipe designed by our late Brewmaster, Greg Noonan. He said that he wanted this to represent the American style IPAs being brewed by the creative brewers using todays malt and hop varieties.

On draft at brewery, poured a yellow orange color, aromas of pine, bitter hops, citrus and grapefruit. Flavor is much the same as aromas, not bad overall.

On tap at the pub. Dark gold body topped with a thin and lasting white creamy head. Fair malty/hoppy aroma with strong melon notes and some more discreet herbal ones. Hoppy taste with stronger herbal notes than in the aroma. Melon flavors are still present. Ends with a fair bittersweet finish.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2010 In short: A standard brewpub fruity and bitter IPA.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy blonde orange body topped by a long-lasting medium white head leaving good lacings.
In long: Nose of fruity hops. well balanced beer with a pleasant mouthfeel. Nice malt extraction and generously hopped. Some residual sugars. Hops are crisp and are the fruity type (tangerines and pineapples mainly) with a floral edge. Finish has a long resinous bitterness of medium intensity. A Bumbay Grap that leaves a bitter after-taste like a pre-arrange Bombay marriage.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Bitter hop aroma with light chocolate. Palate is thin and there is a lack of flavor other than hops. Pretty boring and typical brewpub fare.

On tap at pub: Earthy hoppiness and one dimensional maltiness, some caramel and flowery hops; not terribly hoppy or bitter; decent.

Apricot orange pour. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Flavor is BIG bitter hops. A bit watery mayhaps, but refreshing.
