2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at the brewpub - Poured a beautiful ruby red in color with a very small white head. Aroma is all raspberries and quite strong. Flavor matches pretty much and is fairly sweet. Not much here from a beer perspective, but I enjoyed anyway.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Deep red colour and crystal clear. Rich bright raspberry aroma. Bright and fruity smelling. Flavour is a bit strange and flat though. Sort of watery on the palate. A bit of lightly peppery heat, raspberry and a lot of ethanol on the back. Meh.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
20080730 Tap at brewpub. The brewpub description says it is a light, refreshing, strong biere. Well, that is odd. At any rate, the berries are disappointingly the only redeeming quality of this beer as it is seemingly on a backbone of some bland American wheat or something like that.

2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours an interesting magenta color with almost no head. Very fruity smell, obviously raspberries. Tastes pretty much like bad raspberry juice - extremely fizzy for a beer. Couldn’t drink more than a few gulps.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap at the brewpub - they were out of the spuyten duyvil, so I ordered this - "oak aged? sounds good." - wrong - looks and smells like artificial raspberry flavor and sugar - the flavor is thin, tart, and uncomplex, tasting kind of like unsweetened raspberry soda - some slight fruit skin notes come into play, but mostly this uninteresting, bordering on a drain pour.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
sampled at the brewpub. Very red in color, with a small off white head. Aroma is fresh rasberries and that is about it. Taste is tart fresh rasberries, tart, with a lightly tart and fruity finish. Not complex at all, but still tastes ok.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sampled at the brewpub, reddish color, with a ring of white head, intense raspberry nose, with a hint of almondy pit, with a juicy tart raspberry and wildberry jam aroma follows through on a medium-bodied tart palate with a juicy acidic and tart raspberry fruitiness character, sharp bitter almondy pit note, leading towards a mild raspberry fruity tartness finish, lack of complexity.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2006 Clear red with a small white head. Taste of raspberries and strawberries. With its watery body, the soft carbonation and the lack of alcohol bite this feels more like a juice than a beer. I won’t sin by drinking this forbidden fruit again.
