Jan 1, 2004 Excellent oaky nature to this malty, well-balanced octoberfest; a bit yeasty and "chunky" but I like it that way. Dry and slightly smoky/woody feel at the front, nice malt throughout, dry again at the finish. A great session beer from one of New England's best purveyors of session beers.

Sep 25, 2003 Pours with a deep amber/red body topped by a thick off white head with lots of lacing. Slightly sweet malt aroma with a slight grainy note and a touch of hop. Not much aroma to this beer. Sweet malty flavor with a slight fruitiness. The finish is clean and crisp. Light to medium bodied and smooth.
