COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our version of the traditional trappist style of beer. Light on the hops, heavy on the grain and honey. This is a sipping beer that one usually detects an immediate sweetness that mellows out into more of a drier taste. It has the signature milky caramel finish of the Trappist strain of yeast.

Poured from tap to glass. Copper hue with off white head. Aroma is caramel, banana, straw, honey, floral, esters. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium body and soft carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness throughout with a slight ethanol finish. Overall this is an interesting Belgian and is heavy on the banana esters.

Clear light brown. Dubbel style, with some nice spice and raisin. Not bad, probably would have liked it more on a cooler day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2013 Great interpretation of a Trappist Ale. Dark brown, copper pour, not much head. Aroma of tropical fruits and bread. Nice bitterness and fruit, not sweet at all. I personally like more alcohol in this style, but would put this one up against any other in the state. Update: seems to have kicked up the honey. Sweeter than I recall and a little more tannic. Still a solid and unique Dubbel.

Hazy dark copper pour with tan head, minimal lacing. Sweet malty, caramel aroma. Flavor is mild nutty and caramel up front, then sweet stone fruit/grape/apple tones. Mild sweetness from the honey. Soft carbonation and a medium body. Slightly bitter astringent finish. Delicious and drinkable, an interesting take on a belgian.
