Pale golden colour. Aroma is nicely hoppy. Flavour is fruity with some stewed peaches. Also has a more earthy, piney hop flavour.

Pours a clear pale beer with a big, fine, white head. Smells hoppy, sweet and has some spices, even some chewing gum, some banana, and exotic fruit. Tastes bitter. Leaves a fine and a bit sharp bitter palate. Great brew! Nice fruity bitterness but not overwhelming!

On tap at Moeder Fontainas. Pale yellow golden, big white head. Dry, bitter, crisp grainy malt. Floral bitterness with some grapefruit. Hint if spicy yeast. Absurdly drinkable for abv. Superb stuff.

Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontenas. Clear golden colored with a medium sized white head. Fruity aroma of hops and brett with notes of citrus peel. Fruity flavor of hops and grass with notes of brett and pine needles. Hoppy finish.

(tap @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas) Golden indeed, very slightly hazy, but still nicely shining. Head is not very persistent. Aroma is grainy (cereals) and grassy, or even flowery, the latter becoming more dominant as I progress though the glass. Not what one would usually expect from a double IPA, but still very nice. Heavy bitterness (for a Belgian beer at least), but still drinkable, and a touch of sweetness. Medium to full body, soft enough carbonation. I would prefer the flowery aroma of the highly concentrated hops in a lighter beer, but until that’s possible, I’ll happily drink this one again - not on the same day though ;-)

Tap @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and moderate hoppy - flowers and fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Doesn’t feel anything like 8.5 % ABV. 250215

Golden palish color with little foam. A fresh flowery aromahop smell promises decent bitterness. The taste is a brilliantly balanced bitterness with citrusy aromas. (I suspect the hop to be nelson sauvin). Bitter aftertaste feels tart, but is strangely satisfying. This beer meets my taste surprisingly well.

Hazy golden-yellow color with big white head. Gapefruit scent, grassy, citrusy, hoppy. Taste is dry and more grapefruits and citrus fruits, also some sweeter fruits and a good amount of bitterness in the finish. Hardly any residual sweetness. Good amount of carbonation. Very good!
