Bottled@HBF2015. Pretty much black colour, with a mediumsized brown head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is wood, some mild peated notes as well as some liquorice and mild wooden sourness to it as well. Flavour is liquorice, some wood, mild smoked notes as well as some burnt sugar and a mild sour wooden edge to it. Tasty, but I couldn’t figure out if the slight sour edge is a planned thing, or something spontaneous happening...

Pours a black beer with a medium, beige head. Smells malty, some chocolate, some coffee, some oak. Tastes malty, slightly bitter. Leaves a gentle bitter palate. Some oak and some of the roasted malts come trough in the aftertaste. Good beer but nothing to exciting.

Franksv6 (459) - Tiel, NETHERLANDS - APR 2, 2015
Unclear dark brown beer with a creamy head that disappears quickly, high carbonation. Tastes like caramel, sour, smoke, wood, coffee and a little whiskey. Complex beer with lots of different flavors no standard stout.

Poured deep dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of dark fruit and roast malt. Medium body, flavour is lightly sweet, moderately dry and bitter.

Swaroga (1663) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 27, 2015
Nice label. The beer is brown in color and the head is dissapearing quickly. Overall it’s not a bad beer but it’s highly dissapointing. It has very little to do with an English or US stout. It is watery in texture with quite strong carbonation. It has dry like clove flavor which is completly outside this style. The chocolate and other torrified aromas and flavors are very delicate. We get the whisky game though. It reminds a bit a cocacola with a hint of whisky to be honest.

Noire de noire, effervescence très faible au palais, col beige foncé moyen. Principalement maltée, légèrement surette, vineuse, moka présent, raisin noir, un peu de chocolat, plus une vieille brune qu’un stout.

SinH4 (744) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 20, 2015
Black color with big head. Slightly sour, chalky aroma. Taste is very dry and metallic. Roasted malts. Very astringent in its metallicness. No barrel feeling... Not exactly my kind of beer. Plus it was served way too cold :(

Gedronken op bierfestival in Brugge 2015. Zwart met een crème kraag. Geur is mounting. Smaak is geroosterd vlees. Whiskey herken ik hier niet in terug.
