Draught Fast gone greige head over red-brown shot black beer. Nice whisky & wood nose, and fruity esters mixing with alcoholic features, to a very complex aromaprofile indeed. Taste is blue mold cheese, vinous rather than spirit. Again the character is complex, with many fruity vectors. Backthroar real alcoholheat. Not really full bodied, and a tad undercarbonated. Ends with beautiful long-lasting main flavours. Gives the impression of being based upon Oud Bruin. Excellent try - again. Long, deep, complex beer that is very difficult to catch in words.

Bottle. Dark brown muddy pour. Aroma of mild sourness, sweet whiskey, vanilla, ripe fruit and booze. Bit dusty flavor of old coffee, mild booze, red ripe fruit, malt and a mild tartness. Weird, needs more depth.

Dusty sourness. Is this intended? Roasted too, but thin. Taste had more of this, very oakey, sure, but dusty and quite thin. It’s the opposite of what I got to find in a stout. (375ml bottle from Etre Gourmet)

Bottle at home, unfortunately turned sour. Roast, green apples, dry, meh what a shame.

Bottle split at Cotts Convention 2, thanks to the Cotts team, 05/03/16. Mahogany brown with a decent tan hap. Nose is tangy dark fruits, spice, light funk. Taste comprises tangy drak fruit rinds, lactic tang, cocoa powder, earthy, light roast, wood must. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Average ... on the tarte side - deliberate?

Cloudy brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is airy, fairly dry. Decent fine carbonation. Fluffy tangy dark malts, very tangy. Very fruity tangy whiskey. Tangy dark fruits. Whisper of vanilla. Dry finish finds the tang making me wince, yep we are in sour territory. Shame - there is a good beer lurking under this mess somewhere.

Bottle. Cotteridge Beano v2. Can’t really put here exactly what my notes on this read, as it would be a tad crude. Pale and thin.

Bottle at Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles, march 15th 2015. Dark brown, nearly black, with a big tanned head. Aroma is roasty with flowery hops, ginger and oak. Taste is sweet with a rough bitterness, herbal, a nice warm chocolate at the finish. Not very whiskyish, though it bears some resemblance to a cascadian dark ale in its roasty and hoppy form.

Bottle thanks to Shane at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention. It pours opaque brown with a massive tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, tangy, fruit cake, plum, orange peel, sherbet and chocolate. The taste is crisp, decent roast, mild acidity, tangy, fruit cake, peach, tangerine, wood and a touch of alcohol. Medium + body and moderate carbonation. Quite interesting overall. Not bad.
