Nice whisky & wood nose, and fruity esters mixing with alcoholic features, to a very complex aromaprofile indeed. Taste is blue mold cheese, vinous rather than spirit. Again the character is complex, with many fruity vectors. Backthroar real alcoholheat. Not really full bodied, and a tad undercarbonated. Ends with beautiful long-lasting main flavours. Gives the impression of being based upon Oud Bruin. Excellent try - again. Long, deep, complex beer that is very difficult to catch in words.

(draught) pours black in colour with a creamy beige head. aroma of cherries, brown sugar, light toasted malts, chocolate cake and mango. flavour is mostly the same, vanilla, toasted malts and cherry stones, with a hint of alcohol and a medium herbal-hoppy bitter finish. heavy-bodied with lively carbonation.

Tap @ ZBF 2013. Pours black with a small, creamy, beige head. Aroma has clear whisky, chocolate, light liquorice. Medium carbonation, fine dry and light bitter finish. Flavour has chocolate, whiskey, light coffee, mild bitterness. Okay.

@ Zythos 2013. A black colored beer, with a beige head. The aroma is a little sour, fruits with dark malt. The taste of sweet fruits, notes of sour and some wood and whisky. The aftertaste is light sweet and sour with bitters.

Very interesting and nice beer. Dark, malty...with the whiskey taste in presence. Nice smooth fruity aftertaste.

Bottle @ Brugs Beerfestival. Black coloured beer with a nice brown head and light carbonation. Malty light roasted hinted aroma with some distant woody hints. No real whiskey touch. Medium to full palate. IFnish is light sour roasted malty hinted. Rather medium, no whiskey flavours or aromas. Little disappointing.

Has dense thick foam. Flavour has light smoke and a sour edge with hint of red wine. Finish has fruity sweetness then dryness.
