Bottle at Gainsbar. Orange brown colour, golden thin creamy head. Aroma is strange, funky, mushrooms, slight sourness, blue cheese. Taste is great, initial weirdness, can taste the barrel, bit cheesy again, finish is initially sour then long and slightly cheesy finish. Really nice.

Very nice Oud bruin for a beginning brewery. More acidic than Rodenbach, Bacchus or Petrus Oud Bruin, I wish these brewers all the best.

2012 bottle from Errl. Thanks again! Deep red brown. Vinous and tart cherry nose, along with some caramel and wet wood. Tart, light acetic vinegar, with a pronounced burnt caramel middle, and sour light cherry like finish. Tasty sour.

Drunk from 375cl bottle bought at Malting Pot, Brussels. 2013 edition. Lovely sharp, bitter, sweet Flemish red ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

NicolaiH (53) - - JUL 5, 2013
Sour, piney aroma. Bottle pours with light head, muddy orange-nut color. A bit softer than an old gueuze, lemon-caramel bitterness with strong, woody fond. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
