Chunky reddish hazy pour with ring of offwhite head. Sampled with Yuriko side by side with Monkís Cafe. We both preferred the Monks. This is decidely more sour/tart and vinegary. At three times the cost of the Monkís, itís something I can certainly pass on next time.

Bottle, courtesy of a kind soul... shared in a location remote of my dining room.
Pours a hazy red color with a small head.

The aroma is deeply funky with sour cherries and horse blanket. Itís fruity with some light gram cracker.

The flavor is very tart with a big sour cherry character. Itís got some lemon rind and a mild brininess. There is some light oak character & the beer is on the drier side, especially to this style.

Really one of my favorites of this type of beer that Iíve had in some time.

On tap @Bir&Fud (Rome). Bordeaux, quasi impenetrabile, schiuma biancastra media, molto persistente. Al naso intenso e penetrante aroma di sottobosco, frutta rossa, aghi di pino, note vinose, acetiche, grande potenza olfattiva! In bocca Ť acida intensa, ha un bel corpo ed ha una lunghezza e una persistenza non comune. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-bassa. Eccellente!

Drinking blind from a 33 cl bottle. In the aroma lemon drops, cherries, wooden barrels. The clear red/brown beer has no head. The taste is mainly sour, some cherries. Low carbonated

Bottle of 37.5cl, in a Tumbler glass. Nice aroma of resin and lambic... Great aroma and taste, more like a gueuze, but very good ! Try it, love it ! Cheers !

Bottle. Pours a deep mahogany-hued slightly hazy amber body with a fizzy, short-lived off-white head. Nose is tart lactic tones, red berries, caramel, bread and hints of raisins and grains. Taste is lemon-like tart lactic notes, caramel, bread and with hints of yoghurt, raisins and citric zest. Light to medium body, high to fizzy carbonation. Very lacto-tart and refreshing, the sourness is accentuated by the high carbonation and rather light, dry body. Perhaps the best Oud Bruin Iíve had, actually, as I tend to think they are mostly too weak in the sour department. This one isnít.

Shared 12.9 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a clear, coppery amber color, with a presentable layer of off white head foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The aroma was sweet, yet tart, with light yeast, and esters as berries & cherry. Medium bodied, with fizzy effervescence, cherry was the dominant fruit in the flavor, which also presented modest bitterness, tannic astringency, lingering tartness, and dryness. A tasty, palate cleansing treat.

Editie 2013. A dark browb beer with a weak and light brown head. The great nose has cherries, some red berries, sourness, hint of chocolate. Taste is nicely sour, cherries, berries, raspberry stones. Medium bodied, slightly sticky to drink. Good beer with the great aroma. Balanced.

Birra acida ma non troppo, sipida. Sentori di grano e vinacce con leggero dolce al palato.
