3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, pours a clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out loads of oaky wood barrels, light tart fruits, and light smoke. Flavour is very oaky and woody, with lightly tart dark fruits. Medium complexity, with a dry, oaky finish. Solid oud bruin.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (375 ml). Hazy amber/brown with a small quickly vanishing beige head and little to no lacing. Aroma is soft with only moderate balsamic notes, red fruits, oak and light vanilla. Taste is of cherries, oak, mild acidity, hints of vanilla and light caramel. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly dry and woodsy finish. Not the most complex Oud Bruin, but definitely on style and quite drinkable/enjoyable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Dark amber with light brown foam atop. Tastes earthy and tobacco-like with hints of tangy fruit, strawberries perhaps. Not quite the dark, smoky affair I expected. Lots of carb, pretty sour. Decent stuff.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
From WLVL. A more dry and less sweet Oud Bruin. Better with food than stand alone. Not too puckery, winey mouth feel. Serving: Bottle

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Following the waiters recommendation, I had this beer with my black pudding at Nüetnigenough.
It combined very well with the food. I’m not sure if I would like it as a "stand-alone" beer though.
