Bottle - Vintage 2013 - Sour cherry and light balsamic. Cloudy copper brown with a rich light brown head. Tart acidic and cherry with a nice soured malt balsamic finish. A little on acidic side, but still quite nice.

Many thanks to ThirstyBird for this "Editie 2013" 37,5cl bottle. Exp: 26/10/23. Nice intense-sour beer, fruity. Wood, cherries. Sweetish background, sour-fruity-woody foreground. Intense and great. Nice sweet-sour balance, easy to drink and still deep. Great. The aftertaste is long, cherries, wood, nice sourness. Soft and smooth and still sour. Great.

Chunky reddish hazy pour with ring of offwhite head. Sampled with Yuriko side by side with Monk’s Cafe. We both preferred the Monks. This is decidely more sour/tart and vinegary. At three times the cost of the Monk’s, it’s something I can certainly pass on next time.

Bottle, courtesy of a kind soul... shared in a location remote of my dining room.
Pours a hazy red color with a small head.

The aroma is deeply funky with sour cherries and horse blanket. It’s fruity with some light gram cracker.

The flavor is very tart with a big sour cherry character. It’s got some lemon rind and a mild brininess. There is some light oak character & the beer is on the drier side, especially to this style.

Really one of my favorites of this type of beer that I’ve had in some time.

On tap @Bir&Fud (Rome). Bordeaux, quasi impenetrabile, schiuma biancastra media, molto persistente. Al naso intenso e penetrante aroma di sottobosco, frutta rossa, aghi di pino, note vinose, acetiche, grande potenza olfattiva! In bocca è acida intensa, ha un bel corpo ed ha una lunghezza e una persistenza non comune. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-bassa. Eccellente!

Bottle of 37.5cl, in a Tumbler glass. Nice aroma of resin and lambic... Great aroma and taste, more like a gueuze, but very good ! Try it, love it ! Cheers !

Bottle. Pours a deep mahogany-hued slightly hazy amber body with a fizzy, short-lived off-white head. Nose is tart lactic tones, red berries, caramel, bread and hints of raisins and grains. Taste is lemon-like tart lactic notes, caramel, bread and with hints of yoghurt, raisins and citric zest. Light to medium body, high to fizzy carbonation. Very lacto-tart and refreshing, the sourness is accentuated by the high carbonation and rather light, dry body. Perhaps the best Oud Bruin I’ve had, actually, as I tend to think they are mostly too weak in the sour department. This one isn’t.
