I like Apple Cider. This beer has cider like tendencies with a wonderful tart bite. Pours murky brown with light head. Scent is apples, earth, and vinegar. Big tart bite that fades into apple goodness. Medium mouthfeel. Bottle - Green’s Beverages - Atlanta, GA

Angenehm säuerlicher Antrunk, mild. Vollmundiger Mittelteil, spritzig, könnte aber komplexer sein. Angenehme Fruchtigkeit, gelungen. 8/11/9/9/10/9

Thanks to Hertie for sharing! Pours a hazy dark apple cider color with almost no head. The smell is wood, sour cherries, must. The taste is follows the nose with a nice dry and sour ending. Oily texture and medium body with very small amount of carbonation. A nice dry woody our bruin.

375mL capped bottle, 2013 Edition, poured into an Oerbier glass. Cap states best by (expires) 01/02/23, funny. Pop the cap and barely a hiss escapes. The beer pours almost flat, just some agitation bubbles. Color is like a dull ruby red marmalade, can’t see through it. Aroma is bretty cherry pit with some faint spoiled cherry. At first I sniffed something bland but once the lambic-like dry brettiness kicked in it made it complete. Pretty much a dead body, no carbonation. Flavor is again a dry brettiness some super unripe tart cherry. The flat body takes away from the beer a bit but its a real nice Flanders red. Light feel to the beer, tart, rather clean and brett centric with a cherry Flanders mix.

[10/4/13] Bottle sample at a tasting at chriso’s place. 2013 bottle. Hazy amber. Sourish aroma with oak, fruits and a hint of vinegar. Sour flavor, fruity, a bit lactic, with some funk and some oak. Medium-bodied. Really nice.

Edition 2013. Brun caramel, effervescence légère, col beige fin. Malts caramel, vineuse et même vinaigrée, assez sûre, un peu de fût de chêne, fruits rouges. Une bonne vieille brune!

37.5cl bottle shared at DSG and jsquire tasting at Chris’. Pours brown/reddish, cloudy with a tanned head. Aroma is definitely sour, with hints anise, caramel and some spices. Flavor is definitely funky, horseblakety and sour, with vanilla and oak. Finish lasts and lasts, leaving a nice sout aftertaste. Dry finish. Medium body with good carbonation. Very tasty and miles better than some of the more pedestrian offerings from Verzet.

Pouring at NotF in Boston. Pours a clear ruby color with a thin beige to tan head. Big and sweet initially, then dries out into some tart acid. Bright and vibrant, lots of bright acid. Tart, tasty, and surprisingly nice.

I love oud bruin, so I was quite excited to try this. Very interesting, but lacked the body of some others in this style, and seemed a little under aged.
