I love oud bruin, so I was quite excited to try this. Very interesting, but lacked the body of some others in this style, and seemed a little under aged.

Bottled (2014 vintage)@HBF2015. Rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head, that leaves good lace. Aroma is nicely caramel, some sour wood, mild vinegar, cherries, a bit floral notes as well as some quite acidic notes. Flavour is a mix of pretty much the same, leaving a very tart and nicely dry palate afterwards. Lovely dry.

Pour on tap at Boneyard, dark reddish brown pour with slightly off white head, aroma brought notes of nice oak, red fruits, some slight acetic into a bit of red wine, slight earth, spicy notes, cinnamon. Taste was a mix of oak, red fruit, slight acid, bread, hints of red fruits, hints of spice, finishing tart. Pretty nice.

Fat på Rattle o hum. Fasen börjar tycka att suröl smakar bra. Fin frisk syrlighet idoft, nästan lite havskänsla. Krämig o fin i munnen med flera fina smakaromer. God!!

Draft to taster at HopCat in Indy. Looks decent; undercarbonated though. A fairly transparent caramel with thin eggshell lacing. Smells lactic and acidic with notes of vinegar, oak, and mild cherry. Tastes like it smells with a tart medium-bodied mouthfeel. Not bad, but unbalanced.

15cl at the Ghent Beer Festival in 2014. The best alternative for a summer’s lager. Lovely refreshing, quite sour, perfect to drink.

Red to brown body that is clear (first glass) or cloudy (second glass). Tiny, frothy, off-white head that disappears almost completely in a very short time. Sweet and sour and rather strong aroma of tart red berries and caramel. Moderate flavour of tart red berries and lemon, with caramel in the back. Light sweet taste and a moderate acidity. Quite long finish. Crisp mouthfeel, light body, dry and with a moderate carbonation.
[37.5 cl bottle 2013 edition, enjoyed 8 years before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]

Ruby to rusty brown color with close to no foam. The smell is a little sour. Intensely sour and a bit dry. Very sour close to perfect aftertaste.
