Tap @ BeerTemple, medium sample. Slight hazy redbrown color, short frothy head. Aroma of lots of lactic notes, red fruit, some oak wood, tartness. Quite sour in taste, but backed up by loads of fruity and lactic sweetness, coating the palate. Some delicate oak wood. Very nice.

2014 Edition. Pours dark red/brown with no head. Vinegary bonfire toffee and lovely sour notes, a licker of the lips!

Really murky brown with a soapy head that dissipates pretty quickly. Aroma is vinegar. Taste is incredibly sour dark vinegar without a hint of sweetness. Dry finish.

Murky brown with not much head. Smells of sour vinegar, macerated grapes and some funky stuff. The taste is insanely sour, with a bit of a metallic feel to it, and not much else - no sweetness or funkiness or anything. That being said, sour beers are awesome, and, as simple as this one might be, it is quite good. Medium body, sour aftertaste.

Bottle at home. Slight hazy mahogany with fizzy off white head. Light lactic notes up front with fresh plums, overripe apricots and strawberries. Balsamico and sour red wine vinegar, grape juice, moldy apples, light earth and compost. Over medium sour with light sweetness. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Quite sour, but I enjoyed it.

Keg at BrewDog Edinburgh. Reddish brown, only slightly translucent. Scent of sour cherries and mature oak. The sour taste is tempered by a savoury sweetness pervading the long sumptuous finish. Nicely weighted body. Incredible.

On draft at HopCat in Ann Arbor. In prep for Rare Day tomorrow. The pour is a deep ruby tinted pour with a thin collar of white head and no lace. The aroma is full of tartness. A nice sharp brown grips the olfactory senses with a nice tart cherry and a great tartness. There is a little funk to it, but it's good. The flavor is very tart. There is a lot of roast and some malts, but it carries a great sourness that I love. There is a sharp cherry and nice funkiness. The mouth feel is light and tart with a nice carbonation and a lingeringly tart cherry aftertaste. Good oud bruin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Copper body, fizzy head. Not pretty, but it’s the style. Red wine, leather, cherry, very interesting. Taste is quite sour indeed. Bit too much to be honest, because there isn’t any fruit to balance. It’s interesting but a bit of deep sweetness from dark fruit or malts would have been nice. (375ml bottle from ABS Drinks)
