2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Hopduvel in Gent. It poured a hazy golden liquid with a big head. Weak smell, I get a sense of pale malts, some yeast and a hint of citrusy hops. Lots of greens apples in the taste. Also some yeast, but very little hops. Fairly smooth, medium body and carbonation. The green apples feels like an off flavour from the yeast. It needs allot more hops.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear gold orange with quickly dissipating small head. Aroma is candy and bubblegum with spicy belgian yeast and some grain. Taste is citrus fruit, slightly sweet, a bit of sourness. Mouthfeel is overly carbonated and harsh. This is a good first effort at making a Belgian Tripel, not an IPA. I guess "tripel" is not a hip enough word so everything has to be called IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle@GBF 2011: hazy orange with a very small head, very interesting IPA, there is some pine & earthly hops in here but it is also rather sweet with a slight bitter aftertaste mixed in with some grapes & minor fruits, medium, malt based body (nice), interesting, not a traditional but certainly a good IPA

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light orange coloured beer. A good sized head that holds pretty decent. Light bittering hoppy, slightly spiced, and citrus fruits. Not bad, pretty nice drinkeable. Not an IPA like most, but the slightly earthyness at this one is pretty good matching at the total, also a bit of sweetness finds his way trough. Not an IPA like you should expect, but not bad.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy yellow to light orange colour. Smells slightly hoppy and fruity. Tastes more like a tripel then like an IPA. Too much co2 for my likings.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with an almost blond medium-sized foamy head. Belgian yeast-spicy aroma with slightly sour citric and lemony hoppy notes on a mildly malty background with traces of bubblegum. Slightly sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, medium bodied at most with a moderate carbonation. Rather slim malty taste with yeasty and fruity (lemon, tangerine) hoppy notes; medium-dry, sweet and slightly bitter and fruity hoppy finish. Not directly comparable to its US-brothers but nevertheless an interesting Belgian interpretation of the style. 14.VI.11
