COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a time where a lot of Belgian Brewers are starting to experiment with American Hops, Brouwers Verzet shows they are already past that stage, and they come out with a low alcohol beer with No American Hops (NoAH)

Benzai (7287) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAY 15, 2014
Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes @ weekly tasting. Hazy yellow color, average to medium sized white head. Aroma is not really nice: a bit buttery, malty and dusty. Taste malts, moderately bitter, lightly grains. Pretty bitter finish. Aroma is off imo, but if you like bitter beers like me it’s not bad.

Bottle @ hoke shared by benzai. Hazy pale yellow with a medium to big white head. Smells malty, grassy, green twigs. Tastes malty, bitter, slightly grassy. Should’ve used American hops. Thin to medium body, soft carbo.

Hazy yellow body with low head. Aroma has yeast character upfront, light malt, spicy. Taste has high earthy bitterness, long lasting astringency in the after taste, low malty sweet background. Body is full, high soft carbonation.

On tap @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Hazy yellow/golden with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is quite hoppy with light sweetness, piney notes, tropical fruits and light alcohol. Taste is slightly sweet with pine, light tropical fruits, a decent malt backbone and moderate bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Dry finish. Good balance and nice drinkability. A nice one!

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Hazy gold pour with small white head. Aroma is hoppy (piney), boozy notes, light tropical fruits and bready malts. Taste is bitter, really hoppy, light grainy notes but not really sweet. Somewhat spicy boozy finish. Palate is medium bodied, full carbonation. Better than the IIPA from the same brewery.

In Leuven at the ZBF. Pours clear yellow, hazy. Tick white foam. Nose of fresh yeast and spring flowers. Easy to drink in the mouth, with feel of bitterness and sourness. Nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy blond body. White creamy head. Aroma of hops. Heavily bitter, yet well balanced flavour. Very taste for such a beer low in alcohol.
