2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Pale yellow & white head. Aroma of malt, hops and booze. Taste of malt, hops, bread, hay and metallic notes. First thought was "not bad", but right after that came "too bitter". Bitter aftertaste. Typical cheap strong beer - below average.

2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours from the 1/3-bottle a bubbly white head, very well carbonated.
Beer colour has a droplet of green in it. Mild aroma.
Strong smoke-malty taste. A hint of dark choco. Aftertaste is not so much pride.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with quickly vanishing white head. Clear aroma of hops and booze. Sweetish, grainy aroma, disturbed by somewhat poorly integrated hoppy bitterness. Boozy. A quaffer’s delight, but not mine. Fortunately, the Danes can be proud a number of other things.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl Green bottle: BBD of 04 Sep 2013. Poured at home into an ’Augustijn’ chalice on 01 Mar 2013.
Looked a typical Lager/Pilsner: golden, clear, clean and bright. Thin wispy white covering also the norm for a head on this style of beer.
Couldn’t find any real aromas: sweet hints and maybe a hop or two but not enough to get excited about. Gets my standard score of three for a ’none-smelling’ Lager/Pilsner.
The taste was fairly sweet but not as ’super-charged’ as some of the high-strength lagers about. This has more subtle flavours and isn’t in your face like some of its counterparts.
The front label calls in a ’Luxury Beer’, I wouldn’t go that far, but it has a presence and doesn’t appear to be one of those head-ache inducing heavies that are around.
Sipped slowly it could be from Belgium: rushed and gulped it could be from anywhere your worst nightmares come from. Treat it with respect and you might enjoy it like I have. The sweet front carries on into the finish but the hop content tries to balance it out a little, give it a chance to impress before writting it off.
I drank it with some Chillie Olives, Sour Cream and Onion Crisps, Brie and dry biscuits: the combination seemed to work for me.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
09.0.2011. 0,33l Bottle. Yellow colour with white head. Aroma is rather weak but there is lots of alcohol and sweetness. Good balance between alcohol and sweetness gives a rather strong beer, but its a little to short on flavour and bitterness.
