2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) In my version simply called "Vestfyen Ren Pilsner", but I reckon the Krudtugle-version is the exact same beer just with a different label for the Aldi discount markets. "Ren" (pure) in this context means with no brewing-cereal. This is an all-malt beer. But it’s also a very well-hopped pilsener and hence it comes close to a typical North-German pils. Golden with a small head. Soft, a bit low in carbonation with a sweetish malt-base. 040799
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 ThomasE (5176) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2005
Golden colour with a white head. Seems very much like "Krudtugle Pilsner" except for a more malty flavor. All in all though, a thin and watery beer.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 MiP (12136) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 9, 2005
Bottle. Metallic aroma. Standard cheap lager. Perhaps slightly less dry than most lagers.
1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 ALyseen (42) - DENMARK - DEC 3, 2004
The only good thing about this beer, is that you get more drunk of it than water!
and it is almost cheaper than water.
1.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 JensenTaster (1719) - DENMARK - SEP 26, 2004
(on bottle)Smells like poo, but does have a nice golden color. Almost perfect carbonation for a drink-a-lot-beer, no birbing after two sips. You can actually taste the malts in this one, not as other Vestfyen products. Medium nice hopping in the finish.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 madsberg (8780) - Søborg, DENMARK - FEB 20, 2004
Bottled: Golden coloured. Thin white head. Aroma is metallic and light skunky. Hoppy flavour that ends up in a unpleasant and artificial bitterness. It's cheap, but it's a seriously bad beer.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 jfm (1725) - Holbæk, DENMARK - AUG 23, 2003
Nice golden pilsner color with a nice white head. The taste is sweet and malty with a hoppy finish. Seemed a little thin, but for those evenings where you just want to get drunk its all right =)
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 Christian (9697) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 15, 2003
Looks good, yellow with firm white head. That, and the price, is the good news. From the moment you raise it towards your face, you're overwhelmed by cardboard aroma that stays through the whole drinking process. Maybe I ought to re-sample, but I'm not sure I dare.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ungstrup (26200) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 22, 2003
A pale yellow beer with a fine whit head. The aroma is sweet and malty - a little light. The flavor is dominated by brewmash, but a little thin. It has an OK bitterness and an OK balance - it ends on a brewmashy note. A nice flavor for a pilsener which makes above average for the category.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 karsten (240) - odense, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2003
A very cheap beer.It is one of the very few clean pilsener in Denmark produced without maize. But still it is a boring tasting beer. And a weak finish too.
