Small can. Pale yellow color, whites head. Without aroma or aroma of can. Uninteresting taste. Only for thirsty moments.

0,33 l vichy bottle bought in a danish ALDI market. Labeled as Uglens Pils. On the cash receipt named as Krudtugle Pilsner. Real cheap with 2,30 dkr. Drunk in a holiday home out of an Amager glass (sorry guys ...). Clear pale golden in the glass, one finger fast fading white head. Musty grainy on the nose. Thin corn taste, nearly no bitterness. Cardboard. Poor stuff.

Quite ordinary lager without special traits. To call it a discount lager will certainly be going too far, for its malt and hops is in fine balance and as thirst quencher it does ok. It is an affordable beer and therefore is also only barely what you pay for. It consists of a small margin for the better beers, for there is (unfortunately) many other lagers on the Danish market that are far worse than this.

33cl can at MS Billefjord between Pyramiden and Longyearbyen. Pours golden with a white head. Mild grainy aroma with light herbal and grassy notes and hints of fruits and cooked vegetables. Fairly standard pale lager, but a fairly decent bitterness and great views makes it drinkable.

A bright yellow, clear pilsner with white head. Aroma is yeasty, fresh fruity, light malty. Tadte is sweet with bitter aftertaste.

Copenhagen 23/1 2015. 33 cl bottle from Kiwi. Pours clear light yellow with white head which quickly subsides. Aroma is malty and sour. Medium carbonation. Taste is watery and not very exciting - pretty standard for discount beer. Quenchs the thirst though.

From a 330ml bottle. A below average Euro lager. Sweet corn aromas with faint grassy hops. Taste is sickly sweet malts and little else. Light-medium body. Forgettable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pale (surprisingly pale) straw yellow body with lots of bubbles. White 2-1 finger head. Malty scents with strawy hops, wet grass, wort. Tastes sweet malts with some strawy hops behind, transfers to a finish with bready notes, malty grains and sticky sweet malts. Drinkable, though a bit sticky on palate. I’m pretty sure this is the same brew as their Dansk Pilsner (which is not listed here on RateBeer). One of the better danish lagers, which of course doesn’t say much. It feels and tastes lighter and crispier than i.e Carlsberg or Harboe, but that also makes it VERY neutral tasting, and if you drink it cold, you wouldn’t know what the hell you were drinking. I rate it along the likes of Ceres Top and way better than Harboe. Nothing compared to the brilliance of the bottled Royal Plsnr though.

Bottle. Pale light yellow clear body, medium white head. Aroma is straw, cereals and hints of pale malts and grains. Taste is grains, pale malts and hints of straw and mild nuts. Light body, medium carbonation. Fair enough thirst-quenching light lager, for what it is.
