2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Copenhagen 4/9 2015. 50 cl can from SuperBrugsen. Drawing of anaemic man sitting by the stove. I assume it is the adventurer Johan Støckel that has given name to this mediocre beer series from VestFyen. Not much adventuring sitting by the stove. Pours clear dark brown with off-white head. Dissipates to almost nothing quite quickly. Aroma is sweetish with some bitterness. Coffee, something burnt or roasted. Soft carbonation. A bit watery. Taste is fairly sweet. Something chemical and a little unpleasant in the background. As I imagine cleaning utensils might taste. "Sweet stout" sounds pretty unpleasant. But this beer lives up to it.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Its filling is hard roasted malt and I do not think there is used other sweeteners. As stout it is very tasty. Its alcohol content is 4.4%. and it makes it easy to drink and very delicate. A little touch of smoked malt makes it an exciting stout. A little coffee and English licorice lurking in the background and adds a fullness that makes it a little more heavy than, for example. the Irish dry stout. I think that many will find it very tasty - I think at least it is good

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
0.5 can. Clear, dark brown color and a big, latte-colored head which leaves some small lacing. Malty aroma - quite a lot of wood, some leather, and coffee. Taste is very delicate, malty, sweet, and rather mediocre. Body is medium, texture creamy, and carbonation soft. Finish follows the rest to the letter. Overall the beer isn’t an outstanding brew, it tastes more like a cold coffee than a stout, not even a sweet one.
