COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Stout is mild, pleasant, and at the same time unique because of the addition of four different malt sorts, that at the same time gives it its dark color. The ale yeast adds the fruity flavors, that is accentuated by the fine American hops, that gives this beer a fresh bitterness.

Bottle, 50cl. Pours slightly brown, mostly black colour with a moderate creamy, brown head. Dark, roasted malts, caramel, toffee and dried fruits in the nose. Sweet, roast malty flavour, with coffee sense to it. Moderate bitter finish. Bit watery mouth-feel and palate.

Uglens stout from Aldi. Roasty aroma. Dark brown color with high off white head. Well balanced beer. Quite light body. Easy to enjoy.

Seriøst "Value For Money"!

June 2011. From bottle. Pours near black with a beige head. Roasted malt aromas with chocolate and hints of coffee, but too thin for the style and a bit too sweet.

0.33 bottle. Very dark brown color, small, thin brown head on top. Strong aroma of roasted malts, liquorice, a lot of dark bread, some flour, and caramel. Malty taste, some dried fruits, hints of chocolate, quite sweet but not gluey due to some hop bitterness. Medium to full body, creamy or even thick texture, soft carbonation. Finish is quite long, more bitter than the rest but not without sweet accents. Overall the beer might be unbalanced and far from perfect, however; it’s worth much more than it’s price and considering that, it’s a great bargain.

330 ml bottle. Aroma pleasant of sweet dark malt, roasted, hints of coffee. Taste is roasted but dryer, coffee and dark chocolate. Tangy finish with coffee. A bit too thin, otherwise a good beer.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a small off-white head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt with hints of coffee and chocolate. Thin body with active carbonation. Bitter aftertaste of malt. Well, it’s cheap (ish) and pretty middle-of-the-road, but it’s actually not bad. I like it.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, dried fruit and caramel. Roasty, malty flavour. It would be much better, if it didn’t have such an eerie bitter finish and if it wasn’t so watery.
