COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Willemoes Ale with licorice. The ale is produced from the finest Dansih malt, brewed with top fermenting yeast, and the finest hop from American hop plants. The taste is balanced with brown sugar and licorice, so the right balance between sweetness and body is gained.

Flott skum! Litt syrlig start. Fyldig og rundt. Mildt, med en viss søtlighet. Noe brent smak, noe frukt (plomme). Litt lakris (er tilsatt). Lang. Blir tørr langt ute. Humlen kunne kanskje vært litt bedre, men ellers var det mye bra her.

Dark with a big head. Caramel and malt on the nose. Taste is sweet and almost like honey. Little bitterness. Decent ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear brown body and a small off-white creamy head. Aroma of brown sugar, nuts, licorice and some hops in the finish. Heavy sweet and light bitter taste. Sticky texture.

Bottle bought in Danmark. There is an addition of licorice in this beer, but that is rather anonymous.

This strong ale has a nice light brown foam that slowly fades into a compact renewable layer. It has a distinct aroma of caramel malt and really not much else. The flavor is very sweet of both caramel malt as well as the added sugar. Palate life is as such all right, but it is completely devoid of the expected hoppy bitterness. It is simply too boring.

500ml bottle, 5.2 % abv, thanks to djoeye for sharing. Clear copper coloured body, a deep ruby shade to it. Fair beige head. Brown malty aroma, notes of dried fruits. Dark caramel flavours added by raisin, forest and dark fruits. Malt-fruity end. Fair enough (Tromsø 16.03.2015).
