500ml bottle, 5.2 % abv, thanks to djoeye for sharing. Clear copper coloured body, a deep ruby shade to it. Fair beige head. Brown malty aroma, notes of dried fruits. Dark caramel flavours added by raisin, forest and dark fruits. Malt-fruity end. Fair enough (Tromsø 16.03.2015).

Dark off white top, copper near clear beer, rimmy lacing. Luxurious aroma of fruity malts, raisin dust, sweet brown malted candies. Taste; candiced hops, brown malts, candy, fruits, raisin, dwarf almond, plums and dark caramel. Good feel and body, and a fading fruity good finish. Superb moments. 2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Copenhagen 6/2 2015. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly. Pours clear brown with off-white head. Gradually subsiding. Aroma is not very distinct. A little sweetness. Not much else. Medium carbonation. Taste is rather sweet and candylike and almost without bitterness. A whole candystore masquerading as beer.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sweet and very metallic aroma. Equally metallic taste, but with hints of caramel. Red-brown coloured beer with a thin head, that disappears quite fast.

3.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very interesting beer. Nose is very metallic and off putting: but it has a nice deep brown color and frothy beige head. Taste is sweet but in no way sickly. It doesn't taste like licorice per say but it counterbalances the sweetness to give a coffee toffee taste. Not my style but good on a winters night!

The fist sip will leave you embarrassed. This is not an ale as I would expect it. No hops rubbing your palate, a sweetish maltiness fills up your moth and a uncommon, yet intense taste of licorice. And yes, they add licorice to this ale… Unfortunately not the sharp licorice that suits a lot of other beers, it’s a sweet licorice. Sort of "drop" which is soooo much liked by dutch children. But here... nor the children (they are not yet allowed to), nor myself really like it. Maybe becaose the harmony between the different
If the maker of the Haribo Lakritzschnecken would brew a beer - this would most likely be the result. The biggest error you could make, is trusting the label and awaiting an real Ale.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Nice clear brown color, with a medium, fine brown head. Nose is Sweet malty, heavy, dried fruits, toffee. Sweet taste, only light bitter, with a bit sourness. Medium texture, with flat carbonation. Aftertaste is somewhat earthy, maybe liquorice, not bad.
