Bottle. 7.0%. Best before 31.05.13. Pours a hazy deep amber with a dense khaki head. Good lacing. Weak aroma; yeast, malt and a touch of hops. Cereal, burnt rubber and alcohol notes as it warms. Spicy, malty and slightly tart flavour. A bit cloying. A citrus hop note tries to join in as it warms, but just lingers in the vicinity. Malty, spicy and rather alcoholic finish. Overall okay, if nothing special, but the alcohol in the finish was somewhat off-putting. 17.11.12.

500 ml bottle. Clear, copper body with a nice, creamy pale beige head. Aroma is malty with candy sugar and some dry fruit. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, candy sugar, Belgium yeast, dry fruit and moderate bitterness with a hint of alcohol. Fine body and decent aftertaste with sweet malt and a Belgium yeast touch and light warming alcohol. Pleasant ale, rather fine copy of the Belgium style but still not right there among the masters. This was served close to best before date and I think that might be a good deal for this beer.

Bottle. Copper color. Clear. Medium head. Smell: it reminds me on unsuccesfull homebrew of belgian ale with t-58 yeast. Peppery character in nose with some fruitiness and also skunky. In mouth dominate again peperness with some alcohol, grapefruit and dark fruis. Dry finish. Overall: I think they are fermenting this beer on too high temperature (even for belgians,(because it has strange offlavors,), or there is also question about yeasts? Yes they are belgians, but are they good. Like bad-average hombrew beer.

50 cl. bottle poured in to a Tulip. Clear, amber colour with a thin, lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with yeasts, caramel malts, spices, pepper and fruits. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and slightly bitter with grasses, yeasts and spices. An okay beer from Vestfyen.

Bottle from a shop in Denmark (think it was a supermarket). Fruity smell, spicy with a yeasty aroma. Sweet taste with some dried fruit and spicy yeast flavours. Hint of liqourice. The alcohol is noticeable without it becoming boozy. The flavours doesn’t quite come together and it feels a bit messy. Drinkable though but needs to rub down the edges a bit.

Dark amber ale with a specific spiced nose. A bit of Christmas taste. Nice palate I can imagine I drink it in Denmark in winter. B:H
