Bottle, 50cl. Clear, slightly dark yellow colour with one-finger stable off-white head. Aroma of bananas, wheat and yeast. Peppery spices as well. Grass and citrus becomes present as it settles. Bit tart sourness to it. Banana-sweet flavour and not much else. Little too one-dimensioned. Creamy, oily texture and body with a soft carbonation.

0.5 bottle. Deep, gold color and a medium, perfectly white head of rather poor retention. Sweet aroma of bananas, clove, coriander, spices, and a touch of yeasts. taste is sweet as well with bananas, vanilla, and floral notes. Medium body, very creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is silky, soothing, and generally follows the sweet scheme established at the onset. Overall this is a very good beer; I did not expect much judging by its previous ratings but it appeals to me in every aspect - my partiality towards weizen’s may play a role in that.

Det här var en konservativ dansk mikrobrygg-öl, lite tråkig men med en fin och välavvägd smak. Kroppen var okej och balansen satt på sin plats, smaken bar toner av honung, äpple och torkat gräs. Slutsats; god sak.

Bottle. 6.0%. Best before 06.12.13. Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow with an off-white head. Decent lacing. Somewhat citrusy aroma, a bit tart and with a yeast note. As it warms it picks up light grassy and spicy notes and a sour, almost vinegar note. Light rubber note deep down. Flavour is sweetish, fruity, a bit fat, slightly citrusy and bordering grainy. Light rubber note in the background. Sweetish, fruity and a bit grainy finish with lingering yeast and grassy notes. Overall not bad, but so-so. 30.10.13.

500ml Bottle: BBD 6th Dec 13. Poured into a Hofbrau Haus Munchner Kindl Wiezenbier glass at home on 22nd Oct 13. I found the bottle in a ’bargain basket’ at the Brewery Heritage Center, Burton-on-Trent, of all places. Thin white head on a ’crystal clear’ body of light gold. Carbonation bubbles rising up through the glass. The nose has a sweet wheat feel with hints of spices: banana, yeast and vanilla notes arrived as it warmed a little. The taste followed the smells almost to the letter, semi-sweet and wheat laden, with everything else falling in line. The sweetness takes the edge off the crispness, but it is still a lovely refreshing beer when cold. Really enjoyed the first half of the beer, but as it warmed I thought it lost some of it’s charm and became a little sickly and wet cardboardy. Drink it swiftly!
