Bottle. Average light off-white creamy head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Light amber color. Aroma of mild caramel, hint of toasted malt, light fruity notes, hint of nutty and grainy feel as well. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light to moderated sweet and light bitter flavor. Light malty finish.

50cl bottle clear amber, large thick offwhite head. not very strong aroma, i get some delicate hoppiness, bitter and flowery, as well as some malty sweetness. i’ll let it heat up a bit. flavor is slightly fruity sweet, slightly hoppy, a bit spicy and alcoholic, but okay when balancing the sweetness. caramel. malty. quite drinkable after all. comes off as well made macro beer, sort of. i didn’t know dunkler bock was supposed to be like this.

(bottle) Almost clear, deep golden to light amber colour with a medium-sized, lacing and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet malty, moderately fruity (apricots) aroma, accompanied by a light artificial note in the background. Rather one-dimensional strawy malty taste with light notes of honey and marzipan; sweet malty finish with a faint touch of bitterness. Not an unpleasant brew, but nevertheless a bit plain (05.IX.07).
