Tap at brewpub. Sweet cherry malt aroma with light astringency. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet creamy malt and light cherry flavor with mild astringent finish. Excellent - great malt flavor without too much astringency.

Medium offwhite lasting head. Hazy deep golden body. Light sweet fruity aroma. Dry-sweet apple and sweetish malts taste with caramel notes. Soft, mild mouthfeel. Golden, fruity toffee and marzipan aftertaste with dryish grassy notes. Very nice, if a bit light. (0.3l draft at the brewpub.)

Large pop-top bottlefrom the brewery. Ceramic pop-top has an M written on it with marker. Orange-amber hazy body with a little less than an inch of off-white head that dissipates leaving some pretty good lacing. Caramel malt and citrus hops share the aroma fairly equally. Tastes somewhat nutty and fruity, with some hop character, roast, and pepper, as well as hints of diacetyl. Clean finish. More flavor emerges as it hits cellar temperature. Light-to-medium, somewhat aqueous body with less-than expected carbonation. Fairly drinkable, Pretty good maibock, and a damn nice beer.

(On tap) Clear, fully golden with a small, off-white head. Sweetish, malty nose. Medium body, sweet malts with some light alcohol in the end. Almost no bitterness making this a rather atypical Maibock. 270606
