Nov 16, 2003 Light brown color with a reddish tint. The nose boasts light roast, citric hops and very light chocolate. Light roast and a little hop bite in the body. Coffee and chocolate. Slightly spritzy. No smoke to speak of, weird.

Oct 13, 2003 Has a chocolate nose, but a good smoked flavor that comes through. Thick roasted malts and barley flavor. The smokiness works well with the other flavors to create a nice balance. Some hops in the end give it a slight bitterness. Nicely dark with good lacing. Pleasant surprise.
