Viborg Brown Ale is an easily accessible beer style – inspired by Newcastle brown Ale.. Because of the 6,3% alcohol it has a lot more flavor than NBA, but yet most will not find it too dominating. It’s clearly our most popular and versatile beer. Brown Ale is nice with most kinds of food. It’s hand brewed by the use of a gas kettle and open fire, and provides the pronounced caramel flavor. Top fermented and cellared in 3 weeks.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2007 Bottled. Clear dark brown, minimal head. Lightly roasty malt tries to hide lemon in the nose. Fruity and almost thin with simple malt character. Some pleasant nutty flavuors gives this beer some life, but the lemony flavour from a beginning infection disturbs.

Deep Cobber with a brownish head. Sourish smoky aroma with alcohol notes. Sour / acity, but with a profile of roasted malt and hops. Clearly an infected beer. Nice drinkerble with a medium-light body and lots of carbonation. Overall under averages for an Northern English Brown Ale, even when discarding the infection - 11C

Ølfestival Horsens 2006. this brown beer has a nice and creamy head. The aroma is malty, just like the flavour, that is very malty with notes of nuts, and the bitterness is modest. A bit watery.1642

Red-brown of color with a beige head. Caramel, fruits, roasted malt and a hint of chocolate in the aroma. The flavor is some sweet with hints of caramel, fruits and hops. A dry finish. It has some sour hints, but not as much as the first two got of their brown ales, their really sour-ales!!

Bottled. Clear, reddish-brown ale with a nice beige head. Roasted and fruity aroma with malt and some weak hints of stock. The flavor is quite neutral, with a roasty maltyness and a bit sour finish. Medium body. A decent, quaffable beer, maybe for the summertime? (070119)

500ml bottle. Clear red/brown body with a beige head. Nice aroma of roasted malt. Flavor is mild roasted malt, caramel and a little hop. A rather pleasant and non-offending beer.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2007 Brown and slight reddish notes with a fine offwhite head. Lactic, malt, cane sugar and caramel. To sour for my taste and not in style at all...

Draught. Quite cloudy dark brown colour. NO head. Malty and roasted flavour. Rather sweet, but OK. Good, solid brown ale.
