COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Christmas beer from Viborg Bryghus is called ”Jule Bocken”. It’s inspired by south German and Austrian wieners. It’s brewed over open fire, which gives it’s pronounced malt flavour, that together with a well balanced hopping makes Viborg Jule Bocken a beer, that can be enjoyed at all times, smooth and mild. The ABV and a strong carbonation makes it ideal for fat fish and

Bottle. Beige, hazy golden beer, almost without head, just some beige bubbles. Sour and citric nose with a little maltiness. The flavor is a bit sour as well, with malt and some citrusy hops, leading to a citric and malty finish. A medium-bodied beer I bet was infected. I love the Danish beer-awakening, but I would love it even more if the breweries had a little better control with the hygiene. (070427)

Red mahogany with a creamy, golden head. The aroma is nice with notes of roasted malt, caramel, candy sugar and the flavour is sweet, but not as sweet as many bocks. It has a nice, light bitterness and notes of roasted malt, candy sugar and a hint of licorice. It has a nice body.1781

(Bottle 50 cl) Alcohol is 6.9% according to the label. Pours a handsome, clear orangey brown with a somewhat rough, off-white head. Malty aroma with distinct notes of spruce needles. Solid, malty body with lots of sweetish, roasted malt. No real bitterness. OK as such, but not that bockish. 231206
