Bottled. Hazy red brown color. Yeasty and fruity aroma. Light fruity and malty flavour with some unclean and unpleasant sourness.

A hazy dark amber beer with a bubbly orange head. The aroma is dusty, malty, and grainy with a light touch of alcohol - I find the aroma boring. The flavor is acidic malty with notes of straw and fruit. I wonder where the acidity comes from - a brewing flaw? remove the acidityand make it sweeter, like I like the style, and You have a decent beer.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy amber and with a dense light brown head. Slight fruity aroma and with a solid level of brittish aroma hops, slight spiced. Flavour is slight smoked, caramel malt and with a slight acidity. Ends slight acidic, infection?

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with an off-white head. Fresh and fruity nose with lightly nutty accents. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, some roasted malt notes, nuts and a lightly ashy edge. The finish is dry. More of a Brown Ale really. 150907

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Slightly tart, malty aroma. Fairly full-bodied, with roasted malts and a vague, underlying burned edge. I wonder if the underlying tartness is fully intentional. Ends rather dry. Unbalanced and unclean - and clearly a virgin brew from this new brewhouse. Love the idea of a Scottish Ale, it just needs a lot of work. 5/2/4/2/10=2.3 290806

Bottle. Hazy brown coloured with an off white ehad. Aroma of malts, caramel and fruits with light acidic notes. Light acidic flavour of caramel.

Bottled. Clear mahogany colour, minimal head. Syrupy, lightly woody nose. Sweet with caramel and molasses. Medium bodied with hard mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Simplistic and rough.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2007 Draught. Very dark brown colour. Malty flavour, not as peppery as expected. Full mouthfeel. OK, but could use more punch. 6 3 6 3 13

Bottle, 7.6%. Good hop aroma. Cloudy chestnut colour, small head. Quite acidic flavour, lactic acid. I guess there is some malt in there, but it is hidden behind this terrible acid flavour. 3 3 2 3 1

Unclear muddy brown with no head (at all). Malty caramel/fruity aroma & taste. But then a Thin body with a very sour edge/mouthfull. Something went wrong up in this joint!

Bottle. Nice big head with good duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma is sour with caramel and malt. Taste is likewise.

Bottled. Unclear, reddish brown with a beige head. Some smoked/peaty notes in the aroma, with fruit, malt and hints of coffee. Pear, sourness, fruit and some bitterness. Medium body. Some citricness in the finish. Off? Too much sourness I think. (061012)
