[bottle--thanks, thewolf!] Pleasant roasty aroma with some dark malt bubblegum and notes of coffee, cinnamon, and prunes. Opaque black with a lasting, beige cover. Sweet and sour toast and coffee flavour with tons of dried fruit that mingle with the tangy sourness. Balance on the sweet side, but there is some stabiliizing bitterness as well. Sour finish, medium carbonation, medium body.

Bottle at Chris_o birthday bash 08. Very deep ruby/brown. Minty, but has elements of a porter. Bit meaty, some choc porter and mint. Odd.

ÅBF08 Roasted and sweet aroma. Almost black colour, no head. The flavour starts off roasted and nice, turns more towards fruit and cardboard. Starts off well, but does not finish as well.

Near black colored with little light brown head. Coffee dominates in this aroma with dry touch and caramel, slight berries also here. Medium bodied, still slightly watery palate. Flavor is also berry with same roastiness, still some burned note here also. Aftertaste is sweet still with same caramel, roastiness also here.

500. Thanks, Thewolf! Black. Thick, dense, and creamy tan head with medium lace. Nose is a perfect blend of chocolate and smoke. Creamy medium body with chocolate, campfire, and chalk on the mid-palate. Mild finish. Beautifully balanced and harmonious.

A Mes rate: Bottle at the Oi Oi Saveloy tasting at Chris O’s.
Deep red brown with a thin tan film. Sweet malt and tobacco with some slight roast and coffee and a lot of fruit. Slight bitterness in the finish. Decent beer.

Bottle, from trade with papsoe. A ruby to dark brown beer, clear, with a beige head. Burnt, coffee aroma with some bonfire and dark chocolate. The flavor is also mostly burnt malt and coffee, but there’s also some salty licorice and a touch of dark, bitter chocolate. Burnt, coffeeish finish too. A bit thin on the palate, and quite dry. Sure on of the best Viborg beers. (080412)
