4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
33 cl bottle. Great looking light orange with a lasting white head poured in a Westmalle glass. Aroma is light with citric notes, Orval-ish yeastiness, and soft sweet malts. The flavor are all smooth and blended well. Pineapple. orange and a nice brett taste. Really surprising and delightful.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A crisp Belgian ale with a refined, lemony lambic twist.
No alcohol focus unlike Tuverbol. Balanced and nuanced throughout. Long-lasting foam. Soft pils malts underneath. Fresh tasting, refreshing, champaigny carbonation. Obviously solid Girardin contribution, but most likely not a high proportion of the blend.
Perhaps overly clean, clear. Sweeter than expected, though certainly not agressively so. The Belgian ale would be rather simplistic on its own; they call it a tripel, but it does not have the hop nor the alcohol.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours magnificent with a strong large head, hazy golden color and visible carbonation. The dome head and visible carbonation looks awesome. A barnyard and lacto aroma mix beautifully with doughy sweetness. Then comes fruity tart berries and a touch of spoiled tangerine. Taste is perfect amount of gueze (light barnyard with light un-citic lemon) and lightly sweet Tripel. A slightly tingling mouthfeel and then it goes down as if nothing. Amazing combination of dough sweet and sour with neither overpowering the other, great melding and balance.
33cL bottle in the Vicardin Tripel Gueuze tulip @ De Heeren van Liedekercke on 5/19/08.

What is a gueuze (written with "u", like before in the province of Brabant)? This is perhaps not an original recept but it is a original beer. It is even an original gueuze.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
It’s a golden colored beer, with a nice white head. This stays for a while. A nice aroma of citrus fruits, some yeast and some spices. A fresh taste, with a good balance between sweet and sour. It has a sparkling finish. A very good beer.
