Pours ruby dark and is full of licorice aroma’s. Also sweet fruits and roasted barley. Very well balanced flavors. Dark dark brown body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. Sweet alcohol malt flavour is again quite roasty. Medium-full body. Repeatable, good.
(ZBF 2008; Sint Niklaas, BE) Bhops (200), Dallas, Texas, USA Apr 16, 2008 dark roasted maltiness. This was a nice dubbel. paired with lamb and beef burger combo main dish I had at den djiver, bruges, and it was an excellent match. I think it was used in the food prep too.
