Yellow coloured and unclear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Aroma is mainly yeasty, faint pepper, some malts too. Flavor starts moderate sweet, finish moderate bitter, more yeasty notes. Creamy, dry texture and soft carbonation.

At nose a real belgian blond ale, but at taste is more similar to a blanche, due to the clear lemon taste to the palate. Not bad, but...

I was concentrating on being sociable rather than the drink for a change; but I recall this as being an ultra-dry lemony thirst quencher that I’d be happy to have again.

Pours a hazy brownish yellow with small head. Nose is yeast and a very mild citrus or fruit. Taste is belgian yeast, bread and some hops. A nice and suprisingly fresh Belgian.

Klassisch dickes belgisches Ale mit einer angenehmen Note von Vanille und Hopfen. Recht mild, leicht gehopft - klassich bieder und süffig.

Bottle from Douberd and shared by MichaelAwesome - many thanks! The beer pours out in a hazy yellow-golden colour with airy low head and medium body. Aroma of Belgian yeast and flowers. Taste of flowers, Belgian yeast, bread, caramel and mild herbs. Easy and nice to drink, solid Belgian ale.

maekchu (1973) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUN 23, 2014
Bottle from Sugaya. Light Belgian yeast nose, grape mustiness, mild fruit. Cloudy medium straw color, consideerable head, thick breakaway lacing. Thick fruit, citrus, bittering hits in mid, some spices, and a bit of flower stuff throughout. Medium body, but it seems to get heavier in mid and final. Aroma is light and gentler than the flavors, which seem a bit heavy for the alc. Like a hopped-up Chimay White. Mouthfeel and body are those of a heavier more alcoholic beer.

330ml bottle - thanks Marduk!
On the pour, it’s just likeapple pie, sweet, appley, a little hint of the spices. Closer up, there’s more of the pie base too. Hazy straw colour, nice tight white head. Taste more of the pie, including a rather starchy base. Some odd glueyness according to Anna. Quite a heavy beer for only 5%, almost heady. Full and smooth palate, as I’d expect for a stronger one, as I implied. Kinda decent being a Belgian ale, but an unexceptional one.
