A combo triple and geuze. I don't care for this much but my wife likes it so it must be good.

Pours golden with a fine white foam etched atop. Smells like a belgian yeast, some hints of funk, plenty of sweet golden ale. Taste is metallic, sweet, with sweet corn and some bicarbonate. The flavor really tastes like a watered down tripel, some spices. Thin and sharply carbed with a dry finish. Meh.

On draught at Beer. Very clear golden color, white head that clings to the goblet. Aroma is sour basement funk and sweet honey notes. Taste is mellow honey and yeast flavors from the tripel and lightly soured funkiness from the gueuze. A nice balance of sweetness and sourness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours orange blonde with a medium white sticky head. Cold haze remains throughout. Bittersour nose. Aroma’s: apricot, lemon zest, lambic funk, orange/lemon juice. Strong wheat profile, good balance between sour and bitter. Figure most of the blend must be tripel. (rerated with the Boon geuze, similar to the old one)

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours slightly cloudy golden, on tap at Nike Wunderbar. Funky floral notes in aroma, you can sense a sour ale coming. I like the combination, would be a sneaky way to intro friends to sour ale style. Sweetness of tripel just offset with enough sourness, but not overdone.

(Bottle, Antwaerps Bierhuyske, Antwerpen, 24 Oct 2013) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of peaches, citrus, canned fruit and a certain lambic character. Fruity, tart taste with canned fruit, peaches, citrus, wheaty malt, and a certain acidity in a sweet and sour finish. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. Interesting and tasty combination. Quite nice.

Vicaris Tripel Gueuze , on tap at the local option. The pour is hazy gold with a frothy white head into this glass. It retains well, with some nice lacing present as well. It was already said, and I concur : this one was more tripel dominant on the nose - apricot, wet hay, dust, lemon zest, and grassy hops really - the flavor profile revealed more dominance on the gueuze side of things ; more grass, hay, basement, lemon grass, rounded out by some fruity notes, but let’s just get this out of the way now , this beer doesn’t mesh well, and I imagined that the component beers leave something to be desired to begin with. I wouldnt bother again with it personally

750ml bottle. Hazy golden with small white foamy head. The Boon lambic comes through on the nose along with sweet fruity notes. At first I thought it was more triple than lambic but after letting it sit a bit it’s completely the other way around. The Boon really forces it’s way through taking away the sweetness of the triple and leaving it with a hint of sour. Great mix.

Tap at the Jeffrey. Pours orange with thin head. Sweet citrus nose. Tastes of orange citrus, musk, floral, honey, lemon lime soda, funk, light malt, and yeast. Lively palate and semi sweet finish. Interesting brew
