Ik hou niet van Geuze maar dit is wel goed gevonden! Het is een tripel met een zeurtje en fris heid van geuze! Lekker biertje zeker gecombineerd met eten.

Pours gold with a white head. Smells of brett, some citrussy hints, dry malt, floral notes. Tastes of dry pilsner malt, some dry funky undertones, some semi sweet sourness on the finish.

33cl bottle. APPEARANCE: clear blonde beer, full of carbonation, nice stable white head. NOSE: lambic! barnyard, some hay, some brett. TASTE: taste is somewhat less then the smell, less lambic like, though still a nice amount of sourness, but some fruit added and some yeast and hops. In total, this is a very enjoyable beer! Sourness is not at all overruling, so drinkable even for someone who doesn’t really like geuze.

750 ml bottle into chalice, best before 6/8/2016. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with moderate streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of pear, sour apple, grape, lemon, raisin, clove, pepper, hay, grass, oak, light leather, funk, honey, candi sugar, light vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of the Tripel/Gueuze counterparts with nice complexity of yeast esters and moderate malt balance. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, grape, raisin, pepper, clove, hay, grass, honey, candi sugar, light funk, light oak, light vinegar, and yeast earthiness. A bit of earthy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, light fruits, clove, pepper, light funk, honey, candi sugar, light vinegar, and earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of Belgian/wild yeast esters; with moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice take on a blended style. Very nice overall balance of both styles with good complexity; very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Een lekkere combinatie dit biertje. Proef wat citroen en sinaasappel. Eentje is genoeg.

Bottle: Medium to bigger sized fluffy white head on top of a hazy yellow colored beer. Aromas of geuze, wild yeast, triple sweetness, cellar and stone, sweets and grass. Flavours of wild yeast, bitters, spices, bitter malts and plant extracts, stone, no sourness at all. Well balanced with a good bitter and yeasty tone. Aftertaste bitter, herbs, yeast, light dry, malts and cellar ish... Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, a very good medium body and a creamy texture. Nice blend. I am Happy with the good wild yeast and the typical geuze aroma and flavours, makes it even more tastier and more interesting than a tripel!

Hazy lemon yellow pour with small white head. Funky tart and yesty nose. Taste is sweet funk up front with a mild bitter back.

Draft at iTap’s Sour Tap Takeover, served in a goblet. Pours a mostly clear orange color with a small eggshell white head. Notes of sweet malts, barnyard funk, apple juice, apricot, floral notes, wood, dust, and tropical fruits. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, juicy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Some funkiness. Seemed kind of old. Not my favorite sour.

330ml brown bottle. Lemon yellow pour with light haze. Fairly fat head, creamy sticky edges, white in colour. Nose has gueuze tartness and a bit of dusty yeast. Taste is surprinsgly crisp and clean up front, gueuze funk comes in at the end with a bit of sweet breadiness. Dry finish, acidity, lemon, light yeast. Lively carbonation, medium body but drinks like a lighter less strong beer. Delightful brew.
